Package: iwd Version: 0.19-1 Severity: important Upon initial install iwd fails to start. The (somewhat cryptic) error from systemd is:
Aug 07 20:26:00 host systemd[19298]: iwd.service: Failed to set up mount namespacing: No such file or directory Aug 07 20:26:00 host systemd[19298]: iwd.service: Failed at step NAMESPACE spawning /usr/libexec/iwd: No such file or directory Upon a little investigation I realized that the missing directory is /var/lib/iwd. Creating that directory allows the service to start. Seems that the package should probably create that directory. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages iwd depends on: ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libreadline8 8.0-2 iwd recommends no packages. iwd suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
