Package: thunderbird Version: 1:60.8.0-1~deb10u1 Severity: important After upgrade to Debain 10 (buster) Thunderbird cannot be started. There is always the message shown in the screenshot, but there is no process running.
I already tried to delete (rename) ~/.thunderbird but it does not help. A new profile is created but the same message is coming up. For me this is an showstopper to work with Debian 10. It seems to be an older problem, please refer to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=928178 Cheers karsten -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers proposed-updates APT policy: (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE= (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
