Package: libmtp9_1.1.16-2_amd64 Hello Debian mainteners,
I'm sending now a bug report because Android MTP mounts don't work on Debian 10.0. I have tested using Samsung Galaxy S3/9 and Sony Xperia on LXDE desktop environment. A file manager give error after plug-in USB cable as show below: "Unable to open MTP device “002,005”" and I only see empty directory under mtp://samsung_GT-I9305_4300f60897756149/ However Debian recognize phone properly: [ 9365.189636] usb 2-1: new high-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd [ 9365.338430] usb 2-1: New USB device found, idVendor=04e8, idProduct=685c, bcdDevice= 2.26 [ 9365.338433] usb 2-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=2, Product=3, SerialNumber=4 [ 9365.338435] usb 2-1: Product: GT-I9305 [ 9365.338436] usb 2-1: Manufacturer: samsung [ 9365.338437] usb 2-1: SerialNumber: 4300f60897756149 [ 9365.340694] input: samsung GT-I9305 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb2/2-1/2-1:1.1/0003:04E8:685C.0002/input/input22 [ 9365.398015] hid-generic 0003:04E8:685C.0002: input,hidraw1: USB HID v1.01 Keyboard [samsung GT-I9305] on usb-0000:00:14.0-1/input1 [ 9365.398716] input: samsung GT-I9305 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb2/2-1/2-1:1.2/0003:04E8:685C.0003/input/input23 [ 9365.398841] hid-generic 0003:04E8:685C.0003: input,hidraw2: USB HID v1.01 Mouse [samsung GT-I9305] on usb-0000:00:14.0-1/input2 I can't say exactly what problem is but all worked very well on Debian 9. I can only guess that this could releted to libmtp9, gvfs or udev packages. I hope that this problem is taken seriously and you fix this problem soon.
