Well,
for compatibility with programs that still require libmysqlclient15, you
could put a "Provides: libmysqlclient15" line in the debian/control file
(I'm trying it just now).

I think that this way the programs requiring libmysqlclient15 won't be
removed when installing the new `off` version.
