The current status is: 1. https://salsa.debian.org/debian/devscripts/merge_requests/137, created by Xavier Guimard was closed. 2. https://salsa.debian.org/debian/devscripts/merge_requests/135, created by Simon McVittie works for new installs only if used with --with-depends.
