I guess you have installed apparmor and also have activated the AA profile of Thunderbird? For testing you can simply stop apparmor and restart your Thunderbird afterwards. If yes than your problem is similar to #928178 http://bugs.debian.org/928178 You will probably need to tweak the AA settings for Thunderbird in a newly created file /etc/apparmor.d/tunables/thunderbird Please have a look at existing files in that folder. -- Regards Carsten Schoenert
