as part of the broader effort to remove GTK 2 from the archive¹, we (pkg-perl team) would like to remove this package. Its only reverse dependency is checkgmail (inactive upstream for years, orphaned in Debian, no reply since a year to my bug reports on the BTS) for which I've filed a RM bug as well.
