Hello, for people interested, it is
herehttp://debomatic-i386.debian.net/distribution#unstable/ettercap/0.8.3-1/lintian
and
http://debomatic-amd64.debian.net/distribution#unstable/ettercap/0.8.3-1/lintian
changelog: ettercap (1:0.8.3-1) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * New upstream release (Closes: #931361)
     - Default to gtk-3
   * Add geoip to the build dependencies
   * Enable full hardening
   * Maintain the package under pkg-security team.
   * Drop patches, addressed upstream
   * Drop dbg package, useless now
   * Remove menu file
   * Update watch file location.
   * Bump compat level to 12
     - Drop old dh --list-missing
   * Bump std-version to 4.3.0, no changes required.
   * Update copyright file
   * Drop newlines from changelog file

I plan do some testing before uploading and merging the git repo, most of the
work was already done during development, but I still have to manually
andcarefully review the 83k lines of code changed (most comes from one big
contribution I did), to see if we lost some copyrights,
but testing the deb files from the repo above might help me in having the
required confidence in one upload.
e.g. I already found that the library is still called 0.8.2 instead of 0.8.3,
due to a missing ${VERSION} bump in cmakelist file.
please test if possible!
G.

 Very good. I'll assume I don't need to do anything—my favorite assumption!
