Let me give you some background to this bug report.
In sane-backends on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS,
0125-multiarch_dll_search_path.patch is unfortunately not applied
currently, and I'm about to fix that (<https://launchpad.net/bugs/1728012>).
At the same time I would like to make it easier for users with older
(brscan and brscan2) Brother devices by adding to that patch support for
the /usr/lib64/sane directory too; hence this report. However, I want to
do the latter only if it will be accepted in Debian. I don't consider
the change important enough to justify a delta between the Ubuntu and
Debian versions of the package.
So for that reason it would be great if you could give me a quick "yes"
or "no" about the proposal in this bug report. Needless to say, "yes"
would be the preferred answer. :)
Cheers,
