I have ControlPath ~/.ssh/master-%r@%h:%p ControlMaster auto in my ~/.ssh/config and have noticed that the motd (which is displayed via pam_motd) only shows on the ssh connection that starts the ControlMaster. The following connections that use the already established ControlMaster behave differently and do not show the motd. This is a big surprising. Either the behavior shold be consistent independently of a Controlmaster being used, or the inconsistency should be documented. Greetings Marc
