Package: x11-common Version: 1:7.7+19 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
Couldn't login to X after buster apt xserver upgrade. Solution was to log in as root and do: #nano /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config Replace: needs_root_rights=yesallowed_users=anybody With: needs_root_rights=yes allowed_users=anybody And press CTRL+ O to save. After rebooting all was fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages x11-common depends on: ii lsb-base 10.2019051400 x11-common recommends no packages. x11-common suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
