Package: firefox-esr
Version: 60.6.3esr-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Firefox from mozilla.org works fine with basque eID (Izenpe, uses bit4id
propietary stuff) but firefox-esr from Debian repositories doesn't. This
affects at least Stretch and Buster amd64.

With firefox from mozilla.org, all I need is to install pcscd and bit4id stuff.
Then I need to create a new device in firefox's preferences, give the path to
/usr/lib/bit4id/libbit4xpki.so, then go to some website that requires a
certificate, the window to choose the cerificate appears, I accept and ...
then, I'm in.

With firefox from debian repositories, this is the same, but instead of getting
in, firefox hangs, proccesses have to be killed, and, some minutes after that,
crash report window could appear. I say "could" because, after installing a
second firefox, crash report window does not appear anymore. ?

Izenpe root certs are already on firefox-esr, there is a package with
additional certs that can be downloaded and installed, but thats not necessary
to get the basic functionality, just to make firefox able to verify our own
personal certificate.

To sign documents, emails, etc, there is a third package, idazki.desktop,
including his own java virtual machine; this does work with both firefoxes.

Best regards
