Package: gufw Version: 17.04.1-1.1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
the current stable version 17.04.1-1.1 removes characters from interface name (showing enp0s31f instead of enp0s31f6) rendering rules invalid. Reproduce: 1. Open gufw 2. Go to "Rules" tab. 3. Klick on "+" to add a new rule. 4. Go to "Advanced" tab. 5. Klick on the "All Interfaces" drop down menu. For me this shows enp0s31f but my interface name is enp0s31f6 (shown in `ls /sys/class/net`). This renders the stable version of gufw useless for me as the iptables rules generated won't apply to any packets. This is fixed in testing version 18.10.0-1. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.9 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gufw depends on: ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.22.11-1 ii gir1.2-webkit2-4.0 2.18.6-1~deb9u1 ii net-tools 1.60+git20161116.90da8a0-1 ii policykit-1 0.105-18+deb9u1 ii python3 3.5.3-1 ii python3-gi 3.22.0-2 ii ufw 0.35-4 gufw recommends no packages. gufw suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
