Just as an update, I obviously didn't get to it earlier this week, but I'm looking in to it now. After I poke around a bit, I suspect the next step will be to contact the release managers to see what they think about any proposed changes because of course if they're not in favor, then the changes may have to wait. I expect I'll be able to report back in a couple of days.
