Hello Jonathan, Impact is , that neutron-dynamic-routing is not usable with current neutron package in buster.
1, Main neutron package was reworked and it is reading config files from diferrent locations. But neutron-dynamic-routing had config files on different paths in previous versions ... So, neutron will be missing config files for neutron-dynamic-routing. 2. DB migration is not working for neutron-dynamic-routing. So, if neutron-dynamic-routing is installed , DB is not filled with db schema. Someone who is installing has to run db migration manually, in new version db migration is in postinst. 3. Plugin is working only if main neutron package's config is configured, in new neutron package there is maintainer script which is enabling/disabling plugin, in new version this is in postinst. Without this, it has to be configured manually. So, please , could you migrate to buster ? Of course, everything can be fixed manually, but we want to have our users happy :) Thanks, Michal Arbet (kevko) On 5/11/19 20:30, Jonathan Wiltshire wrote: > Control: tag -1 moreinfo > > On Thu, Apr 04, 2019 at 11:40:42AM +0200, Michal Arbet wrote: >> I want to just ask you for exception for neutron-dynamic-routing package >> currently in sid. >>>> https://packages.debian.org/sid/neutron-dynamic-routing-common >> I'm working in debian-openstack-team on openstack packages. >> >> I reworked neutron main package to new filesystem layout and also add >> maintainer script to enable/disable neutron plugins. >> >> Main package neutron and his plugins are migrated in buster already, >> unfortunatelly this one plugin I forgot to update to fit new layout and >> enable plugin via maintainer script . >> >> Also , I found a bug >> https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=924476 > Neither of these seem to fit the freeze criteria on the face of it.
