Unfortunately no, I can't reproduce the crash anymore. After I did "apt-get install valgrind" on that system integrit started running fine. Even after uninstalling valgrind I still can't make integrit crash. When I see it crash again I'll make sure to get a coredump. I have no idea why installing valgrind would change things in any way. Integrit was crashing repeatably when ran from the terminal, so it wasn't just some spurious error. The crash seemed to happen before integrit starts scanning the filesystem (before it prints out banner with version and config info), so I think it couldn't get fixed by filesystem changes from apt-get. I first suspected something to do with dynamic library loading, but integrit is statically linked. I found this old Ubuntu bug that was related to stack protection in dietlibc, but I'm not sure it's related to the crash I was seeing: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/integrit/+bug/82023 Best regards Tomaž
