Package: eclipse-titan Version: 6.5.0-1+b1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? Adding eclipse-titan to a development VM results in a lot of unnecessary package installs due to the dependency on default-jdk. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? s. above * What was the outcome of this action? s. above * What outcome did you expect instead? I would like to be able to use the titan TTCN-3 compiler in C++ only mode (without eclipse based UI components which seem to required a full blown JDK). Could you consider to move the dependency on default-jdk to the recommended (or suggested) packages? -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (150, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages eclipse-titan depends on: ii default-jdk 2:1.11-71 ii expect 5.45.4-2 ii gcc 4:8.3.0-1 ii libc6 2.28-8 ii libgcc1 1:8.3.0-6 ii libncurses6 6.1+20181013-2 ii libpcap-dev 1.8.1-6 ii libpcre3-dev 2:8.39-12 ii libsctp-dev 1.0.18+dfsg-1 ii libssl-dev 1.1.1b-2 ii libssl1.1 1.1.1b-2 ii libstdc++6 8.3.0-6 ii libtinfo6 6.1+20181013-2 ii libxml2 2.9.4+dfsg1-7+b3 ii libxml2-dev 2.9.4+dfsg1-7+b3 ii make 4.2.1-1.2 ii perl 5.28.1-6 ii python 2.7.16-1 eclipse-titan recommends no packages. eclipse-titan suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
