Dear Thomas: I'm offering two different machines where you can reproduce this hang.
One of them is a START1-S instance from Scaleway. The other is a n1-standard-1 instance from Google Compute Engine. The package FTBFS in both of them because sbuild hangs. You should have already received access details in your private email. Please let us not release buster with this package in this sorry state where it only builds for you. [ Note: It would help if you could make an upload to fix the timezone issue by explicitly setting TZ in debian/rules as suggested by Adrian Bunk. That way we could see if reproducible-builds autobuilders can get past that point or not ]. Thanks.
