Package: plymouth Version: 0.9.4-1.1 When using the new futureprototype plymouth theme, there is no feedback to the user of any offline updates being applied.
With other plymouth themes (eg spinner) when offline systemd updates occur text appears in the top left corner with "Installing updates... NN%" etc. This is useful to the user as they are then informed that the system is doing something and has not blocked.
