Reported at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/3216 but I got answer which suggests the Gimp devs consider this a Debian issue. So reporting it here. Summary, I tried to backport the Debian Gimp 2.10.8 packaging to stable, the build errors out with failed tests. I've done this with lots of packages. It normally works, but I realise Gimp is a complex piece of software with many dependencies. I'm attaching app/tests/test-suite.log. I haven't actually installed the 2.10.8 package, though I'm upgraded a bunch of dependencies. So the versions reported are a bit off. I'd appreciate any ideas about what these failed tests might mean.
