Control: tags 926671 + patch Control: severity 926671 important I'm attaching a DEP-3 formatted Debian patch, backported from upstream mtxclient to nheko 0.6.3-1 in Debian.
I'm also increasing the severity of this bug to "important". I think it'd be best to try to get the release managers' manual approval for unblock this change into Buster via unstable upload, since nheko in buster/stable may not be very useful in few years without this patch or a backport: https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-doc/pull/1943 (uhoreg@ mentined libqmatrixclient may need this same patch too, but I didn't look into that.)
