Package: irssi
Version: 0.8.10-1
Severity: normal

I've just installed irssi for the first time on this box, no
configuration file (that I've created anyway).

If I start irssi and then /quit, irssi terminates with a core dump.

*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x081104b8 ***
Aborted (core dumped)

Here is a the backtrace using gdb on the core file:
#0  0xb7a437c7 in raise ()
   from /lib/tls/libc.so.6
(gdb)
(gdb) bt

Once this bug report appears on the BTS I have will email the core file
and also the log from an strace.
