This is fixed in current recoll code. The current handler is fully compatible with recoll 1.24: https://opensourceprojects.eu/p/recoll1/code/ci/2f75550348a06bfd354df241b3ea0f61a45c102c/tree/src/filters/rclps The fixed handler uses ps2pdf and pdftotext. The output is much better than ps2ascii, and ps2pdf extracts some metadata from the postscript comments (e.g.: %%Title:) J.F.
