Package: gnome-keyring Version: 3.20.0-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
after login, a prompt shows up asking me to unlock the keyring. It contains a checkbox with the label "Automatically unlock this keyring whenever I'm logged in". It is checked by default. I always uncheck it. One time I forgot to uncheck this checkbox. The result was that I was never asked again. It took some time until I noticed the absence of the prompt. Then I had to find out that I had to open seahorse and delete the "Login" keyring to restore the original behavior. I think the checkbox in its current state is pretty much useless. As I have just explained, this is not a case-by-case decision but a permanent one. So the state of this checkbox should be remembered or the whole checkbox should be moved somewhere else. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.8 APT prefers stable APT policy: (800, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages gnome-keyring depends on: ii dbus-user-session [default-dbus-session-bus] 1.10.26-0+deb9u1 ii dbus-x11 [dbus-session-bus] 1.10.26-0+deb9u1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.26.0-2+b1 ii gcr 3.20.0-5.1 ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u4 ii libcap-ng0 0.7.7-3+b1 ii libcap2-bin 1:2.25-1 ii libgck-1-0 3.20.0-5.1 ii libgcr-base-3-1 3.20.0-5.1 ii libgcrypt20 1.7.6-2+deb9u3 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.3-2 ii p11-kit 0.23.3-2 ii pinentry-gnome3 1.0.0-2 Versions of packages gnome-keyring recommends: ii libpam-gnome-keyring 3.20.0-3 gnome-keyring suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-keyring-pkcs11.desktop changed [not included] /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-keyring-secrets.desktop changed [not included] /etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-keyring-ssh.desktop changed [not included] -- no debconf information
