Package: fetchmail
Version: 6.2.5-12
Severity: normal

The manpage promises that "all progress/status messages that are
normally echoed to standard output during a fetch" are supressed when
using option --silent. This is not true when retrieving messages via
ODMR.

When no mail is beeing retrieved, it is indeed silent, but when mails
are transferred, the message "fetchmail: receiving message data" is
echoed to stdout.

This seems to be a regression from woody, I didn't notice the behavior
there.

This bug is particulary annoying when fetchmail is used in a cronjob :(

regards,
        Reinhard
