Right. I opened a new bug to track that issue. The 70_nofallback patch is the problem. I have no strong feelings either way, but want to have all the tools needed for online resizing of ext3 (and preferably ext2) in Debian. When is the new e2fsprogs with online resizing support going to show up in debian? I suspect it will be a pain to get '-O has_journal,resize_inode' into d-i to make sure the partitions created by the installer can be resized. Thank you for the new information.
