Package: git Version: 1:2.20.1-2 Severity: wishlist Hi,
I frequently use "git show --first-parent" to look at the effective diff introduced to a branch by a merge commit. The actual option works fine, but git's bash completion doesn't know that --first-parent is a valid option to "git show", so I have to type it all out every time. It'd be nice if it learned to complete this. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.15.0-45-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Init: unable to detect Versions of packages git depends on: ii git-man 1:2.20.1-2 ii libc6 2.28-7 ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.64.0-1 ii liberror-perl 0.17027-2 ii libexpat1 2.2.6-1 ii libpcre2-8-0 10.32-4 ii perl 5.28.1-4 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1 Versions of packages git recommends: ii ca-certificates 20190110 ii less 487-0.1+b1 ii openssh-client [ssh-client] 1:7.9p1-6 ii patch 2.7.6-3 Versions of packages git suggests: ii gettext-base 0.19.8.1-9 pn git-cvs <none> pn git-daemon-run | git-daemon-sysvinit <none> ii git-doc 1:2.20.1-2 pn git-el <none> pn git-email <none> pn git-gui <none> pn git-mediawiki <none> pn git-svn <none> ii gitk 1:2.20.1-2 pn gitweb <none> -- no debconf information Thanks, -- Colin Watson [cjwat...@debian.org]
