We stumbled into this bug during our Jessie to stretch update. The solution provided in Message #60 worked perfectly.
However, the bug is fixed in samba 2:4.8.0+dfsg-2 but Stretch uses samba 2:4.5.16+dfsg-1, so it's not fixed in Stretch. I think it should be mentioned in Stretch release note. Regards -- Jean Louis Mas
