So this would be a case of outdated documentation somewhere or "according to the wiki", or maybe just old habits. As for the sysvinit package, I don't see that the change was documented elsewhere than in the changelog, but anyway it's a bit late for that. This can probably be closed. The second report in this thread seems unrelated and would be a case similar to #768555. -- Pierre Ynard
