merging the double bug (due to a local problem with email), sorry for the noise. In the meantime, I have found this upstream bug[1], which I believe to be the same as mine. The workaround linked on 15 Jan 2019 seems to work for me, although a full solution would be definitely better. Thanks, Giovanni.
