Compare with setting the font size with CTRL-+. That sticks. So there should be a ALT v y f: lock style oFf, and ALT v y n... oops, n already used, to lock them back on... or maybe just a ALT v y t: toggle lock on/off! No, as just want to lock on or off for a few pages, I don't want to explore "user stylesheets". Didn't see any about:config (yuck) item that looked related. Wait, ALT v y n, does apparently sometimes stick for more than one page, under some mysterious conditions.
