Package: systemd Version: 240-5 Severity: important Hi,
(NOTE: I am not a systemd hater so please don't threat me like s...) So, out of blue my system cannot shutdown or reboot anymore. Hangs on something with mysql. So I tried to remove it since I don't need it here. Result: it fails to remove it, and just hangs there. I tried to update systemd, it's still ends in a frozen dpkg, doing deadlocking package configurations. >From user POV this is a disaster! root 3099 5.2 0.6 124964 113668 pts/2 S+ 00:28 0:01 | \_ apt-get install systemd root 3131 0.2 0.1 30504 25268 pts/3 Ss+ 00:28 0:00 | \_ /usr/bin/dpkg --status-fd 63 --configure --pending root 3132 0.8 0.2 42360 38952 pts/3 S+ 00:28 0:00 | \_ /usr/bin/perl -w /usr/share/debconf/frontend /var/lib/dpkg/info/mysql-server-5.7. root 3141 0.0 0.0 6712 2812 pts/3 S+ 00:28 0:00 | \_ /bin/bash /var/lib/dpkg/info/mysql-server-5.7.postinst configure 5.7.25-1 root 3142 0.0 0.0 6844 3512 pts/3 S+ 00:28 0:00 | \_ /bin/sh /usr/sbin/invoke-rc.d mysql stop root 3175 0.0 0.0 8300 3524 pts/3 S+ 00:28 0:00 | \_ systemctl stop mysql.service Checking status: systemctl status mysql ● mysql.service - MySQL Community Server Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/mysql.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: deactivating (stop-sigterm) since Fri 2019-02-08 00:23:33 CET; 9min ago Main PID: 1493 (mysqld) Tasks: 14 (limit: 4915) Memory: 214.4M CGroup: /system.slice/mysql.service └─1493 /usr/sbin/mysqld --daemonize --pid-file=/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid Feb 08 20:03:21 zombie systemd[1]: Starting MySQL Community Server...
