Package: gramps Version: 5.0.1-1~ubuntu18.04.1~ppa1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
The example Family Tree databases provided with Gramps are automatically compressed. This makes it difficult to troubleshoot issues for users that are not used to uncompressing files in the system directories. For privacy reasons, users are not normally happy sharing their problematic files that might contain genealogical data for living people. It is best to try and recreate the problem in the example databases, which can be updated with problematic data and used in the unit tests. Please exclude these example files from being compressed.
