In the meantime another report [1] got already opened about the mtd. With manually loading the there mentioned spi-orion.ko I could successfully finish and boot a buster installation. To get back to the topic I just want to report that the new qcontrol package works perfect also in a new installation, as far as I can see. Kind regards, Bernhard [1] https://bugs.debian.org/920607
