Hi Hilmar, Interesting! It turns out that on my system, PostScript files are opened in Inkscape (due to bug#902141), and Inkscape gives the error message: ps2pdf failed: Error: /undefinedfilename in (/tmp/texdoc.kS0Odf/ifsym.ps) etc. I set the system up to use gv instead, and was told: gv: Cannot open file /tmp/texdoc.2e0sf6/ifsym.ps (No such file or directory) So I guess the bug is still there....
