Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

pair a sony WH1000-SM2 headphone to the linux PC.
audio in and out works
turn off headphone
turn on headphone

   * What was the outcome of this action?

headphone does not always reconnect to PC

after connecting (either automatically - when it works - or manually), I need
to manually go to bluetooth control panel > select device > audio settings >
select headphone as audio out and audio in device

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

when I power on a device that I have previously used, audio in and out is
automatically redirected to the device. possibly controlled by a checkbox in
the device bluetooth window "select automatically as audio in"
