This one is old, sorry for not giving input earlier.

Christian, sadly, xxx@bugs.d.o doesn't reach the original poster of the
bug[1].
You have to keep him in copy of your answers.

Seeing your recent mails on bts I guess you know better now, but this is the
reason you got no answer I guess.

Matthew, I'm really sorry about the bad experience you've met in 2016. I
guess you don't have the reply to Christian question three years after.

I'll let the bug open, but I guess it'll never find a solution.
