Package: hostapd Version: 2:2.7-2 Severity: normal Control: found -1 2:2.6-21
I'm running hostapd on a machine that is pure systemd. I'm using the hostapd@.service generator. when i do: systemctl start hostapd@wlp1s0.service it hangs for a while and then fails. This is because the .service generator's ExecStart= line doesn't have -B in it, despite saying Type=forking. Please either drop Type=forking, or pass -B. Of those too choices, i think it's better to pass -B on the command line, so that the daemon has some mechanism of indicating readiness to systemd (detaching and moving to the background). Thanks for maintaining hostapd in debian!
