Apparently, ifupdown2 used to ship the completion file for ifup, but it no longer does it (which is great in my opinion, because it removes the conflict with bash-completion). However, I don't know why, after the update, bash-completion is unable to install the completion file for ifup. There must be something in apt blocking it to do so.
