Then the script just sits there and does nothing. maradns creates
/etc/resolvconf/update.d when installed. This is normal procedure
for hooks. E.g. postfix also installs into /etc/network/if-up.d even
though /etc/network has nothing to do with postfix.

I think you can install it to /etc/resolvconf/update.d because

  * nothing will happen without resolvconf
  * even with resolvconf, the admin still has to set
    upstream_servers to the ipv4_alias before anything happens

The only argument against using the script by default is that it
appends and manages a line to the /etc/maradns/mararc configuration
file. I suppose it would make sense to disable that by default in
/etc/default/maradns. I would be happy to send an update.
