Package: apt-cacher-ng Version: 2-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? Normal ACNG operation when the mirror uses 302 for file(s) * What exactly did you do Nothing was done by us to initiate the unwanted behaviour. Aparently the mirror and repo maintainers have started using 302s routinely. No fix has been attempted * What was the outcome of this action? The outcome of ACNG's routine behaviour is that it sends an email every day like: Subject: Cron: test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily ) Date: Fri, 21 Dec 2018 06:25:13 +0530 (IST) From: "root@<redacted>" <<redacted>> To: root@<redacted> /etc/cron.daily/apt-cacher-ng: Maintenance Task: Expiration See file /var/log/apt-cacher-ng/maint_1545353701.log.html for more details. Server control address: http://127.0.0.1:3142/acng-report.html Errors found, aborting expiration... These mails mean real defects requiring intervention are not fixed because it is impracticable to run ACNG maintenance every day (normally we do so on receiving such mails from ACNG). ACNG successfuly downloads files after getting a 302; apparently it follows the redirection. * What outcome did you expect instead? We expect to recieve such mails from ACNG only when it detects errors. -- Package-specific info: -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages apt-cacher-ng depends on: ii adduser 3.115 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.61 ii dpkg 1.18.25 ii init-system-helpers 1.48 ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.6-8.1 ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u3 ii libgcc1 1:6.3.0-18+deb9u1 ii liblzma5 5.2.2-1.2+b1 ii libssl1.1 1.1.0j-1~deb9u1 ii libstdc++6 6.3.0-18+deb9u1 ii libsystemd0 232-25+deb9u6 ii libwrap0 7.6.q-26 ii lsb-base 9.20161125 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-5 apt-cacher-ng recommends no packages.
