Package: syslinux
Version: 3.11-3
Severity: wishlist

Though syslinux is a bootloader for x86, I would really like to see the package
become installable on other archs as well. My workstation is non-x86, but
I'm often creating x86 boot media - it sucks to have to dig up an x86 machine
just to run the syslinux command. And really - the stuff that syslinux is
doing isn't arch-specific, only the data its dealing with is.

I visualize a Arch: any package that contains the syslinux command (since
this must be native), and an Arch: all package that contains the actual x86
binaries that will be placed on the boot media. Of course, the Arch: all
package wouldn't be buildable on all archs, but there's precedent for this
in the archive already (systemimager, for one).
