I started to work on 5.27.0 and just imported 5.27.1 with "gbp import-orig --uscan". All of this is on salsa. Any help to go further is welcome (with push request or even direct commit) https://salsa.debian.org/debian/yaz I do not expect strong difficulties, it is just that I do not have free time at this moment to work on it. I did not check yet, but I expect a soname bump (4->5) with: - new symbol file, so no problems - binary package name to rename (libyaz4 -> libyaz5) [so coordination required to rebuild rdepends] - transition to handle with (and probably a rename) for the devel pacakge: libyaz4-dev -> libyaz-dev (no need to allow parallel installation of different yaz version: yaz4 will be removed) Regards, Vincent > > We are trying to remove icu-config from libicu-dev as soon as possible. > > Currently, yaz FTBFS and is in poor condition overall. > > Would it help you if I imported the new upstream version and significantly > updated the Debian components? > > Thank you >
