Was the given information sufficient for you to reconsider your
position? Tbh, I'm not quite sure what kind of churn you expect from
merging this change , but I'd be happy to further elaborate if there are
still open questions.

One particular point I missed to mention, is that .timer units with
Persistent=true [1] handle systems which don't run 24/7 in a much nicer
way. cron doesn't handle this at all.
