It is perfectly valid to just use the VRRP part instead of ipvs (in fact most of my customer setups don't use ipvs). I therefore think its not the best idea to enforce loading of ipvs, that would lead to problems on systems without ipvs (in the past at least the debian system admins ran such systems). Alex
