we want to have libnss-systemd installed by default if systemd is the active PID 1, while still retaining the option to uninstall the package. For that, the systemd-sysv package gained a Recommends: libnss-systemd [1] Unfortunatly, Recommends are not considered during the initial bootstrap installation, so newly installed systems will not have libnss-systemd. We were in a similar situation for libpam-systemd. The approach we took back then was to bump the pio to standard.
