FWIW, I see the same failure in at least 3 (or 4) packages: 356872: vdkxdb2 355824: freebirth 355991: langdrill 355823: hardinfo (this one's interesting) Are all of these using pkg-config in a wrong way? If so, can you please provide a short description how to do it properly which we can send to these bug reports.
