Package: xutils Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4 Severity: normal
xutils has xmkmf, which seems to use imake, but the xutils package doesn't make sure imake is available (one must install xutils-dev for that), which is kind of confusing. [Maybe this is how people expect it to work, but I was confused, trying to find out why Emacs didn't think X was installed, despite having most X -dev packages installed...] Thanks, -Miles -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages xutils depends on: ii cpp 4:4.0.2-2 The GNU C preprocessor (cpp) ii libc6 2.3.6-3 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfreetype6 2.1.10-1.1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libfs6 2:1.0.0-1 X11 Font Services library ii x11-common 1:1.09 common files for X implementations ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-11 compression library - runtime xutils recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
