Package: php-ssh2
Version: 1.1.2+0.13-4
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

Debian Testing with multiple PHP installation 7.2 and Debian update
installing 7.3-RC4

PHP 7.2 is active module

PHP 7.2 is set to be default install in alterntaives

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

The php-ssh2 package was updated and compiled against 7.3-RC4 which
removed it from the 7.2 install rendering it not working

   * What was the outcome of this action?

No ssh2 module in PHP 7.2 anymore

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Having ssh2 modules in both PHP 7.2 and PHP 7.3
[like zip modules]

I wish the php-ssh2 module would be compiled against each PHP version
like the php-zip package

Current solution is to install ssh2 via pecl
