I assume there is a problem with the libasound_module_pcm_a52.so module which doesn't load correct or is unloaded by pulse. There is a similar bug in https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/60616. Upstream has a patch at http://git.alsa-project.org/?p=alsa-plugins.git;a=commit;h=a4e7e1282c57a2f4e83afe9a4008042d8b4c5bb9 which I can't test because here is no a52 device available......
